My husband and I spent a week in Oaxaca for our honeymoon, including 2 days trekking with Carlos. The hiking and scenery were beautiful and the lodging was very comfortable. Carlos took care of all the details and made it easy for us to enjoy the mountains in our short amount of time. We really enjoyed our hike into Latuvi, including stopping for lunch at a trout farm and learning about the healing uses of the flora and fauna in the region. It was a wonderful part of our honeymoon and we will remember it always!
Thank you Carlos!

Last week Carlos and I took a beautiful 3 hr morning hike outside Oaxaca through some rolling fields, up into the foot hills and onto a ridge where we looked onto the Etla and Oaxaca valleys.
The air was fresh and the grasses high. We talked bugs and politics. It was lovely to get out of the city, the only regret is that it was not for longer. Next time!
Carlos and a great guide, extremely knowledgable and careful but relaxed too. I'd recommend him for the hardcore, the city dwellers and everything in between.

Thanks for a great hiking experience, Carlos! It was a treat to see the beautiful countryside outside of Oaxaca. I´ll definitely let friends visiting Mexico know about your tours.

Carlos is an exceptional guide who led us on a memorable trek. He was more than happy to structure our trek to fit our requirements and with his proffessional and caring manner ensured we felt in safe hands at all times. Carlos is very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora of the area and showed us a great deal as well as provided interesting insight into the local culture.
We highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality trekking experience in Oaxaca.

We had a wonderful one day trek at sierra norte near the pueblo, Llano Grande Calos provided all inclusive service -- transport from/to oaxaca, local guide -- Rufino, and a home cooked meal. Once we were there, we wished we had spent two days at least.
it was so refreashing to be up in the pines after the hustle-bustle of oaxaca. running springs, mossy pines with bromilades, huge agaves, ferns and thousands of blossoming lillies delighted us as we hiked from vista to vista.
Carlos y Rufino were escellent guides and we learned many plants and their uses. it was also interesting to learn how pueblo mancomunados was created and how thery operate to preserve the environment.
we highly recommend this trip and would return, but spend more time to stay in the cabins next time.

Trekking in the Sierra Norte gave us three panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, including Window To The World.
Carlos knew his stuff and his Zapotec assistant Raffino was terrific - and by example taught us about how to walk in thinner air,
Raffino had a real love of the country and he and Carlos highlighted edible plants and sacred places.
We thought four hours would not be enough trekking for a one day walk - how wrong we were. A really memorable experience that will stay with us.
